How do i setup r7000 to switch between vpn and local isp?

I currently have my router flashed with DD-WRT v3.0-r30800M kongac (10/27/16) for several months. However, I need to now be able to switch between having a vpn connection and my local isp. I haven't been able to find anything on this; don't know if I'm not using the right keywords when searching. How do I set this up? I can flashback my router to the original firmware and I have done this in the past without issues.

    You are looking for a split tunneling feature. 
    Check if your DD-WRT firmware supports it.

      Hi Elaine,

       

      Thanx for your response. I will certainly look into this. For now, I found a work around in which I am able to use my cell phone data for the sites I can't access due to using my vpn. I love dd-wrt so I don't want to part with it and I'll be sure to look into the split tunneling feature. I also love netgear! Slightly indirectly related compliment to Netgear, I just received my Netgear CM 1000 modem and I love it!
