NETGEAR NIGHTHAWK R7000 2.4ghz band problem

When I try to connect to 2.4ghz band on Xbox, the NAT type says Unavailable and the ping is high and download speeds are very slow.

    Did you try this?

Search - NETGEAR Communities – Xbox NAT type

What firmware version do you have on the R7000?

A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.

It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router, if there is one. The make and model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?

The reason for asking is that a lot of people turn up here trying to put a router behind a modem that is also a router. That can complicate troubleshooting.

      Firmware V1.0.11.136_10.2.120

      Modem is a TM1601A Arris

No, it doesn't happen with the 5Ghz band. The Channel for 2.4ghz is set at 1, 5ghz channel is set to the highest which is 161, and I only have 2 neighbors close by.

Does this happen on the 5Ghz radio or with the xbox ethernet connected to the router?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6 is recommended.

What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?

2.4Ghz isn't the best frequency to use for xbox consoles. 5Ghz would be recommended or for best and optimal gaming performances, ethernet connection would be best.
