VPN for R8000

Im looking to instal a router based VPN on the R8000.  I dont want to have to use a client on each device, just a router based one.  I can see how to do that with Open VPN.  I tried NordVPN but they dont support Netgear.  IS there any way besides flashing my router to WRT?

    microchip8 is exactly correct. They're not supported on factory firmware. 

    If you're wanting a VPN, you'd have to flash it with aftermarket firmware. that voids your warranty and can brick your device. 

    But I've heard it works well

    If you choose to flash your R8000 with third party firmware, prior to, be sure and save a copy of the OEM firmware and a copy of your current configuration file.

     

    Should something go awry in the future, you will use these to return to the OEM configuration.

     

    Minimal effort to establish a fall back position.
