WN3000RP Extender not working with NBN
Hi,
I have one of these extenders that I used to use with my home ADSL set up. I want to use it with NBN now that I have that but not sure if it can be. Any advice would be appreciated.

WN3000RP[v1], WN3000RPv2, or WN3000RPv3? Look for "Model" on the
product label.

Not a very detailed description of that equipment.

About all that that says is that you're in Australia.

I'd expect so, within the limits of its capabilities. The WN3000RP
is an old, relatively slow ("n"), 2.4GHz-only gizmo. Something newer
might be faster. Whether you'd care, I couldn't say.
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get some. Compare its specs with those of your
(unspecified) new router and/or some newer extender.
Do you know that you'll still need an extender with your
(unspecified) new router?

Re: WN3000RP Extender not working with NBN
Hi Antinode,
I appreciate the response and sorry for poor information. Here is a little more information. It is a WN3000RP V1H2 model, old I know. I just did not want to buy a new one if I did not need to. The WiFi router (NBN) that I am connecting to is a NetComm CloudMesh Gateway Model NF18MESH.
The set up is in a house and you are right, I don't really need the extender in it but it has a separate cottage were the WiFi range is marginal and I thought, if I could use this, it would be great. I have tried of course and I can see the Extender come up on my phone when it is plugged it but cannot connect to it. I have tried a Factory Reset with the pin button on the side.
Kind regards,
Brian

There is nothing special about the WN3000RP. It should work with whatever type of Internet you throw at it, even NBN, which is not so much a technology as a label that means "Australian Internet". We don't even need to know which of the various flavours of NBN you have.
Visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Look for the model number on the label on the device. Pay attention to any V number. If it doesn't say V2 or V3 it is V1.
Begin with the Installation Guide. First reset the WN3000RPto remove any old settings carried over from the ADSL service.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers about your hardware, in the appropriate section for your device. That's probably here:
