The current location feature in imaps on an imac, an ipad, an ipod touch and an android smartphone (Google maps) does not work. It worked with my previous modem, an ancient linksys e1200, which I need to replace because the wifi died. Cellphone service here is very spotty, none to very poor. Internet provider is Optimum. What is going on? Why did the current location stop working when I upgraded?

After a few days the current location service started working. This is apparently the answer -- give it a few days and it will figure out where you are.
Seems like a moderator should know this already.

Re: cannot determine current location
Hello @scottdac
Welcome to the community!
What's the exact model number of your NETGEAR device?
Did you try factory reset the router?
How about doing a firmware upgrade?
