AC750 extender / model EX2800---keeps dropping out.

Using 2 chromebooks, both units showing same problem. WiFi drops out completely on a regular basis. Signal will come back on it's own at times and other times it won't. This morning it wouldn't stay up long enough to get a speed test completed.  Both chromebooks work fine on the DSL network. Signal strength is strong on 2g-ext network.   And from day one I have 4 extended networks----2g-ext;   2g-ext-2g-ext;          5g-ext;    and   5g-ext-5gext   What's up with that?

From the sound of it you have the extender connected to the other extender. Which is why you get the ext extension 2x.

try re-running setup and making sure to have them connected to the router.

Also, if you live in close living environments (apartment, condo, ect), try doing a channel scan to ensure you're on the best available channels for both 2.4ghz and 5ghz.

Also, keep in mind that 2.4ghz is more sensitive to interference. especial in crowded environements. it has less available bandwidth, broadcasts further, and through more materials than 5ghz. so try to make sure as many devices as possible are on the 5ghz as it'll have the best speeds and least interference.

    Whats router do you have?

Do you have another extender on your network?

How far from the router is the extender?

What is the interior walls of your home made of?

Did you set the extender up using wps or using the installation assistant?

Router is telco supplied / Comtrend nexus link 3120

Yes, there is another extender (same make and model) located in a separate bulding probably 12 feet from router which sits in front of a window with 1 wood frame wall between them. Doesn't get used as much as the other but shows same symptoms at times. Used mainly for streaming Roku.

The main extender sits 35-40 feet in straight line from router through an open door and no walls. (At end of a hallway.)

I believe I used the installation assistant for the setup..
