New secondary access point capped at 100mbps
New router model:R6080
ISP provided router:zyxel EMG6726-B10A
Provisioned speed: 500mbps
Wired access point lan to lan setup with cat6
Okay above I’ve provided details of all my specs. I have ran about 130 feet of new cat6 to my garage to install a wired access point for my garage. However I seem to be having a 100 MB per second cap on my new router. I’ve used a tried-and-true cable which was getting a 1000mbps to test to make sure I didn’t damage the new cable and I was still getting the same cap. Along with trying multiple land ports. So far I’ve changed the IP address for the secondary router 192.168.1.2 along with making sure the DCHP setting is turned off. Which I know it works because I can get active Internet through it just only at a speed of about 95 MB per second used speed test.net to test speed. Is there any settings that are missing or needing to change? Or could it possibly be a bad router?

Hmmm. Where to start, ...

Are these things all the R6080?
It's called a _wireless_ access point because it provides wireless
access, not because it uses a wireless connection to the main router.> [...] lan to lan setup with cat6
Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read. Look for
"Use the Router as a WiFi Access Point Only". Note the suggested wiring
scheme, as well as the device configuration.

It's certainly bad if you wanted something faster.

That's the opposite of a SEA port?

Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware.
Look at the Data Sheet. It says there:- Five (5) 10/100 (1 WAN and 4 LAN)
Fast Ethernet ports with auto-sensing
technology
These means that you router is limited to 100 Mbps when it talks to the modem. You will never get a wired link that gets 500Mbps.
Ignore the marketing guff about "WiFi speeds up to 300+700Mbps". That is for things talking to each other on your local network. Your wifi things still will not talk to the Internet at anything faster than 100 Mbps.
What it boils down to is that you have the bottom of the range router from Netgear. It is surprising that they still make these things. The usual Ethernet standard for routers has been 1000 Mbps for a decade or more.
Look for something that promises Gigabit Ethernet. That's pretty well everything other than the R6080.

Some people come here to use their experience to offer help to folks who may not be network experts. One or two others are here to polish their own egos, to prove how wonderful they are, to belittle everyone else, and because they forgot to take their meds this morning. I find it best just to ignore them.
If you want to find something suitable for your needs, try plugging your needs into the filters on the product pages:

and, if you have money to burn:

Then check back here for reports on the things you are considering, but remember that people turn up in this community with problems, not compliments. So look at reviews on Amazon, for example.
