There are two major differences between the R7000 vs. R7000P. The R7000P looks similar to R7000, but it has an updated motherboard design and supports faster speeds and a few more standards. R7000 provides AC1900 (600 + 1300 Mbps), R7000P provides AC2300 (600 + 1625 Mbps) R7000 has 256 QAM Support and R7000P has 1024 QAM Support. MBReviews.com did a pretty great review of R7000P.

Is the r7000p that much better then the r7000? I was looking to get the R7000 but sales man get the R7000p and said it was much better is it or is it the sale person trying to push they I should buy just looking a good basic router with the ac standard.
There was about a 95 dollar difference I also thinking the r6400 the house just a little bigger then a 1100 square foot and is 72 years old with the wireless printer just on the outside wall of closed in carport, one laptop with an ac 1300 wifi adaptor and one wired desktop giga nic. My internet speed test out at 72 too 73 mbit download and about 6 mbit upload give or take few points. I also have most the rooms wired with cat6 cable and lan port.
