Readyshare - how to backup onto computer
I love using the USB on the router for files we share on several computers but would like to be able to automatically on a scheduled basis save those files on one of my computers so they get backed up when the computers get backed up.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking of a batch file to just copy the files but had some trouble getting it to work - I am not an expert!
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks.
As DexterJB says, third party software might be a good solution.
You could investigate whatever you now use to backup those PCs. It may be possible to add ReadySHARE drives to the current backup regime.
In my case, I use SyncBack to backup files to and from ReadySHARE drives:
Backup Software that does everything you need, and much more

Hi, welcome to the community. You can check the link below for an overview of the supported features and functions of ReadySHARE.

You may need third party software/solution for what you're looking to achieve.

Thank you! Syncback works perfectly - even set up two "backups" on alternate days so I have a plan c.

Glad that works.
With it "batches" and "Fast Backups", Syncback is powerful but can be intimidating.
I am of the "can't have too many backups" school.
