I am not sure I understand what you are saying ?
You say you have a wired connection to the router. That is good for your but that is NOT AX mode !
A Samsung Galaxy Note 9 can not even do AX mode to my knowledge but I might be wrong on that ?
So you can activate AX mode as long as you like if you have no AX receiver that is capable of doing AX there will be no AX transmission whatsoever.
Maybe I understood you wrong ???
