RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
I have the RBR750. Router in lower level with one satellite in main level. All good signal strength.
Updated to newest firmware V3.2.16.22
Both main router and satellite have been rebooted. Satellite shows up on Network mapping as connected and working. It's connected with wire.
Guest network connects when I stand next to the lower lever router with Iphone.
Guest network doesn't work when standing next to main level satellite. Keeps saying password is incorrect.
What else should I do to get the guest to work on the main level?
Thanks.

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
What happens if you set no wifi security on the Guest Network configuration on the RBR just as a quick test and apply the change and reboot the RBR and RBS. Does the phone connect at all?
After testing, re-enabled WPA2 and AES on the Guest Network configuration on the RBR and ensure you input a good working password. Make one simple at first to test with.

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
Well that opened Pandora's box!
I tried rebooting router and satellite and the process would never complete using the phone app. I eventually reset both router and satellite. Tried that a few times. Finally added the second satellite even though I didn't need it for coverage. Finally got everything back up and running. I never unplugged and plugged in my router so many times.
Fixed the guest network issue but now have to rebuild the entire network.
Can someone tell me, do I have to have both satellites up and running to setup the system? Seems crazy to me.
The router is connected to a netgear switch. I disconnected that during setup as well.

Do not use the Orbi app to reset or do FW updates with.
What is the Mfr and model# of the ethernet switch in the configuration?

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
There is more recent version of FW available:
Your network swtich is a managed switch of which can cause some problems if used in between the RBR and RBS.
Reset the RBR from the RBRs web page using a PC and web browser or press the reset button for 15 seconds then release.

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
I’ll do the FW upgrade from the PC. I couldn’t do anything last night when the network setup wouldn’t finish. No PC or App.
Anything different to do to the switch to help in the future?
Appreciate the help!

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
Log into the switches web page and disable any IGMP protcols and green ethernet features if they are available to set.
NG GS-105/108v4, D-Link DGS-105/108 and HP ProCurve 1400/1800 series switches work for Orbi systems.

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
I updated both the router and satellites to the new firmware from the PC. Now I can't connect to the guest network from the satellite. Have to stand next to the router downstairs.
I changed the guest network to no password from the PC and still can't connect to the satellite. Still asks for a password.
Do I really have to reset the router to factory default again? Doesn't make sense.

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
First try a power OFF of the RBR and all RBSs. Turn on the RBR first, then a RBS 1 at a time.

Re: RBR750 Can't connect guest network from satellite
Ok here's what's happened.
I went into the Netgear switch and made sure no green ethernet or IGMP is enabled. Updated it's firmware and rebooted.
I reset the satellite upstairs with paper clip. Nothing new happened.
Reboot router. Nothing new.
Then......I disconnected the wired connection from the switch to the satellite and now Guest network with password is functioning.
Reconnected and reset. No guest network when wired.
Disconnected and guest network working with Wifi.
So I wanted wired connections through the house. Got the Netgear switch to connect them all and somehow it interferes with the guest network on the satellites. Makes no sense. Why? Is there something else I can do to make this work?
Thanks again for all the help

Try one of the following different model switches:
