RBR750 Won't let some services like Netflix through

Hello,

As of yesterday, my orbi which has worked great for 5 years suddenly won't allow certain services such as Netflix or my work VPN but works for other things such as browsing. Netflix & Max won't work through an Apple TV (tried on 2) nor through the TV's native OS (have Sony LG & Samsung) yet it will work on a phone (on wifi). I have connected directly to my modem and they work so it's something with the Orbi. Apple TV works and Disney+ works with the exception that it won't load the avatars when trying to select a new one. 

- I have rebooted everything including the modem and computers/tvs and orbis.

- I haven't changed any settings and no one has access to my orbi settings.

- I'm getting a good 600/20 on a speedtest but strangely the speedtest takes a long time to start.

- The orbi is set to auto update firmware yet the latest update was released a month ago so I assume it happened then? (on firmware V7.2.7.15_5.1.16) Could it have just recently updated and has caused this problem?

Can it be faulty? I would think a router would either work or not but not get faulty after 5 yrs.

RBS FW updated as well? 

What model RBS do you have, if any?

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Has a power off for 1 minute then back ON with the ISP modem and router and satellites been performed since last update?
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:
Turn off and unplug modem.
Turn off router and computers.
Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
Turn on computers and rest of network.

Hi thanks for the reply, what's RBS? If that's the satellites then yes they're updated to latest as well.

The modem is an e31t2v1.

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls or Circle, IPv6, Traffic Meter.

My IPv6 issue with v7.2.7.15 was causing similar problems like this... Have you tried going back to the prior firmware version to see if this fixes your issues?

Who is your ISP? 
Do they support native IPv6 service?

Armor, parental controls and IPv6 weren't on and I've disabled traffic meter but still no luck 😞

I also went back to the previous firmware on both the router and the satellites.

yep. the netflix thing is a pain but the VPN is a real problem as I need to be on for work.

Possible something with the ISP maybe? 

Does it work with out VPN?

but the VPN works when connected directly to the modem so wouldn't that indicate that the orbi is the problem?

VPNs can interfer, espeicially with Streaming services. 

I just had my 850 series online with recent FW for 30 days, saw no streaming issues, Disney, Netflix or Prime.

the VPN is a separate issue, meaning that I'm not trying to run netflix through a VPN, the VPN is to connect to my work

What devices are you using to connect to the Orbi system for VPN and Netflix?

Netflix and Max won't work through Apple TVs nor through the TV OS apps but they work through wifi on my phone. The VPN is my laptop trying to connect to my work (that's all the info I have on that).
