Hi!
I installed a couple days ago the Netgear Orbi RBR750 and when it works, it really works good. The only thing is that the router show every morning when i wake up the pink light. I already reset the router and buy CAT6a cables. Those things don't fixed te problem.
When i reboot the router everything works again. I checked also if i had internet by the provider self and yes that internet works when the Orbi router doesn't work.
What i can do more the fix this?
Thanks in advance!

After trying the suggested changes by ekhalil you might want update FW on the Orbi system at some point:

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
This looks to be cause by a long DHCP lease time set by your internet operator:
Please login to the web interface (orbilogin.com) >> Go to ADVANCED >> ADVANCED Home >> INTERNET PORT >> CONNECTION STATUS. Check there what is stated under "Lease Obtained".
I had this issue some time ago and I could solve it by changing the "WAN DHCP Lease Time" using telnet commands which is now not possible in Orbi. Fortunately I got this fixed by my internet operator.

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Thanks!
The status under 'Lease Obtained' is 1 days, 0 Hours, 0 Minutes. For sure I can call the provider. What they need to change exactly with the 'WAN DHCP Lease Time'?

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
For me it's 0 Days, 1 Hour, 0 Minutes.
It will be great if the provider can reduce this lease time as much as possible. 1 day is quite long lease time, I guess that's why you have the issue every morning!

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Maybe a stupid thought. But when the lease time is expired, my internet is also off, it seems when I look at the times. Isn't it the intention to increase the lease time?

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
What should happen is that after half of the lease time (12 hours in your case), Orbi will ask the ISP to renew the lease. For whatever reason (disturbances, bad quality,....) the half-life renewal of the lease will get lost and Orbi will think it doesn't have an IP and will die after 12 additional hours. If you wait for another 12 hours (the next half-life renewal) your internet will probably work! 🙂
To solve this issue, for bad lines, Orbi needs to ask for renewals more frequently.
You should ask your ISP either to improve the line quality (my ISP changed the ONT module and things got better) or -as an interim solution- to reduce the lease time 🙂

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Hi @ekhalil,
The lease time is set to 1 hour. And what I was saying before happens now. After one hour i lost the connection and need to reboot the ORBI system. The other thing what i did is login in the web interface and go to the settings and push the button 'Renew' and 'Release', when i i do that everything works again. Unfortunately for one hour.
Is it not an idea to put the lease time 'Unlimited'? Or what i can change otherwise?

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
@ekhalila small update from my last message (don't forgot to read my message what i send before). I changed the lease time to maximum on this moment and that is 2 days... Now he still working after one hour so need to be something with the lease time. The only problem is that i need to reboot the ORBI router or release / renew the lease time manual in the web interface before the internet is working again.

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Thanks for the information.
Good that we know the issue is related to lease time. This is a first step. 🙂
The GPON device that you use (TP-LINK Archer XR500v) has router functionality and this will cause you many issues. It's this router that is now leasing the IP address and not the public IP coming from the ISP.
I guess that Orbi is set in Router Mode (not AP Mode) now, right?
If yes, then please do the following:
(1) Set Orbi as DMZ server by folloiwng the steps in the manual (see the screenshot below from the TP-LINK manual). The PC below refers to Orbi. You can set the static IP for Orbi under >> ADVANCED >> Iternet Setup >> Internet IP Address >>:
(2) Disable DHCP on the TP-LINK as follows (remove the tick beside Enable):
(3) Disable Wireless Settings on the TP-LINK:

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Glad you got it working. Please mark your thread as solved so others will know. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

(literally) tens of thousands of people have 2 routers in their network. They just plug in whatever they bought (Google, Asus, Linksys, eero, etc. etc.), read the WiFi credentials off the case, and 'move on.' Double NAT definitely affects specific applications. When the user needs those applications, then something must be done.

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Though it's not recommended to have two routers. One can have two routers one the same network, different sub nets of course, but if they use the DMZ on the 1st primary router, one can have a 2nd router behind the 1st one and co-exist fine. DMZ helps to avoid some double NAT issues that could be seen in this configuration.

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Yes on this moment I have 2 routers in the netwerk. Is that a big issue?
The only problem i have sometimes - maybe because i have 2 routers or totally something else - is when i click on an advertising from Google Ads or Shopping is an 'ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED' error and that the website don't load. This is only from the advertising part and not when i go to the website from the organic results or directly.

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Are you using the DMZ or IP pass thru on the 1st router for the 2nd router?
Is IPv6 enabled on ether router?
Does this happen with all devices?
Does this happen in different browsers?

Yes, this can be caused by double NAT issue (multiple routers) but it can also be a DNS issue. What DNS configuration do you have in Orbi please?

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
Sorry guys for my late reply, I was with holidays.
@FURRYe38 see below my answers:
- No, just IPv4.
- This error i received on all devices.
- Yes also with different browsers (Chrome and Safari) we received the error.
@ekhalil see the screenshot for the settings I have (I changed nothing here since I installed the ORBI).

Re: RBR750 pink light every day
I would configure DMZ on the upstream router for the RBR in router mode or try setting the Orbi system in AP mode.
