Re: Slow wifi speed

What Orbi model do you have?

What Firmware version is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

What speeds do you see with a ethernet connected PC at the RBR?

How many satellites do you have connected?

What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between RBR and RBS📡 to begin with depending upon building materials when wirelessly connected.

Turn OFF The RBS and test wirelessly with a device connected at the RBR?

Re: Slow wifi speed

So turn OFF the RBS for now.

Install Ooklas installable speed test app on your phone.

With the phone about 10 feet away from the RBR, check speeds with the speed test app? Whats it report?

Did you mark this solved?

Re: Slow wifi speed

I see your phone is several years old. Not sure of the wifi specs on this phone so I can only presume it's a 2x2 wifi supporting phone. Maybe a 1x1. This maybe a limiting factor of speeds seen by the phone.

Is your ISP serivce 200Mpbs or over 400Mpbs on the down? I see your wired PC tested at over 400Mpbs?

Do you have a different phone or pad to test with?

Re: Slow wifi speed

 ISP is 200 mb

I used an HP laptop 30 ft away, got 79 mb from speedtest.net

ORBI app on phone was 90 mb.

Case is still open, I closed it by mistake.

Second level support logged in and changed a few adjustments, they didn't tell me what was done.  The're suppose to call me next Tuesday to see if anything has changed.  They down loaded a beta firmware on my PC but didn't install it (RBS850-V4.6.6.11-signed.chk) (RBR850-V4.6.6.11_2.1.4T1-signed).  This case was logged to second level over three weeks ago and now the're getting back to me.  That's why the lag in posting to you.

Next to satellite (aprox 60 ft) ORBI app 89 mb.

HP was 281 mb.

Speedtest was 247 mb.

Re: Slow wifi speed

Maybe a Orbi app issue?

Be sure your devices ARE connected to the RBS when near the RBS and not the RBR.
