Re: Orbi firmware v2.1.1.16 discussion

No, I'm afraid it's not Google Home. I said yesterday I was suddenly experiencing random reboots after 2 weeks of solid performance. Last night I turned everything off but the Orbi system and with NOTHING connected but the satellites the system rebooted 6 times.  Back it goes. Fortunately I anticipated this and ordered a Velop system; it arrives today.  Will post my results with that system... What a gigantic waste of time and energy this has been.

@sleepr88 they need to get both Google and Netgear Engineering on a call together to test together and each review logs and sort this out.

NETGEAR "engineering" is an oxymoron...

Not discounting the issue with Google products however it's also Netgear. I have two home minis, Chromecast and Android 8.1 and everything works fine since I downgraded firmware to 1.11.0.20 and did a complete power cycle including the cable modem. Zero reboots or satellite drops

Re: Orbi firmware v2.1.1.16 discussion

I'm pretty sure we can conclude this is exclusively a NETGEAR issue since the system reboots randomly with nothing at all connected but its satellites....

I just had an update.. V2.1.2.18

Maybe it's been addressed? Too early to tell yet.

How long for a Chromecast/Android fix Netgear? TP-link, Linksys, and others have already gotten it fixed

Do you have any Google products?  I don't want to leave the beta (which has been fine for me for 3 days) if I'm going to have issues

Re: Orbi firmware v2.1.1.16 discussion

I have 5 chromecasts and one that's built into my Onkyo receiver and am having no trouble with the new 2.1.1.18 - but all of those devices are hard wired to the network not wireless. We are using Google's wired adapters.  They are also the old series not the HD version... So far I have 28 hours since installing the update and no reboots.  That said, I didn't see any reboots for 2 weeks after I installed the Orbi system 3 weeks ago. After 2 weeks I was rebooting 6 to 10 times a day... We'll have to see...

Re: Orbi firmware v2.1.1.16 discussion

I have all android phones, 2 Chromecasts and a Google home. I had multiple reboots all day yesterday just like on .16. After a day or more of these random reboots on the last version, it stopped rebooting and worked like normal. I hope that's the case with .18 or I'm buying a new router this weekend, I can't handle the instability any longer.
