I can finally confirm that my Verizon S8 finally works without disconnect after todays Verizon update - It has been stable for the past 4 hours without a single drop in connection - I have walked all over my yard and through my home trying to get it to not respond.. I am also on the BETA firmware which had been working about the same up until the Verizon update this afternoon.
I have turned down the 2.4 intensity to 50% so that it stays connected to my 5 ghz more and I only have a couple 2.4 ghz devices
I even got full signal 100' into my backyard and speedtest'd with full DL and full UL speeds.

I can confirm that the Verizon update today fixed the issue for me. I am on .18 Orbi (not beta) and I didn't touch settings. Just disconnected from guest Network and connected to main. Been stable and fast for a few hours now. Will report back on thread if things change.

Well, after a very understanding coversation with a manager at Best Buy, they graciously agreed to allow me to return my Orbi and purchase something else. I've now had 2 Samsung Connect Home Pro hubs hooked up for roughly 3 hours, zero disconnects so far.

On my Samsung Galaxy s8+ today I went into "Settings" then selected "System Update" it said new update available I downloaded and installed it and so far no drops yet in wifi on phone, will monitor only been a few hrs since update. Have verizon phone.

spinkick good question no idea what they fixed the release notes are kind-of vague nothing explicitly points to wireless or wifi fix, it is one of them magical "fixes/enhancements" that Firmware addresses but no one knows exactly what it is...for me it is working now so happy it was really frustrating drops in wifi constantly on the phone...fingers crossed!
