Cannot connect to the internet with Orbi RBK50v2
Trying to connect to the internet, using our Vodafone (NZ) router, Orbi is all on and good to go but cannot connect to internet. It can't be that hard! I have tried manually entering all the IP info and still no luck. Could Vodafone be blocking Orbi? Driving me crazy as I have read other posts and they dont make sense or dont work. And yes i have reset the modem....a number of times!
Thanks Sam

Re: Cannot connect to the internet with Orbi RBK50v2
Looks like the Vodafone (NZ) router is a combo, meaning it's a modem and router. Not recommended with the Orbi.
You can try configuring one of them as a acess point.
Which came first the Orbi or the Vodafone (NZ) router?

Modem Combo Units:
This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop

Hi It is a Vodafone Technicolor TC4400VDF modum and the router is Vodafone Ultra Hub PTC 295/17/002. Well that are the details I can see. Thanks.

Both those devices look to be routers which makes multiple routers in your network and could be the cause of the issues you’re experiencing.
- Please start by completely removing the Vodafone Ultra Hub PTC 295/17/002, and connecting Orbi directly to the Technicolor DOCSIS router. Please test with this configuration.
- Do you have access to the Technicolor router? You might also need to bridge it if it’s also a router. I see that it has two LAN ports and provides DHCP.

Re: Cannot connect to the internet with Orbi RBK50v2
Is the Vodafone Ultra Hub the ISP modem or is this just a router? If it's just a router and you have a modem infront of the HUB device, remove this HUB router device and connect the RBR directly to the ISP modem.
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?

Try these other suggestions of the modem is a modem/router combo unit.
