Chromebook won't connect to RBR40 since June 2020

I have an RBR40

Firmware Version V2.5.1.16

It works awesome but in June my Chromebook stopped connecting to it.

So I bought another Chromebook thinking this one is dead, the new one doesn't connect to it either.

However, I can connect the Chromebook to networks at Starbucks or even hot spot from my iPhone.

  • Thanks, I figured it out.  There was a patch fix on my satellite that was needed.  It didn't show up until I did a manual update.  I appreciate the support!

Can you describe the situation in more detail:

    • Are there other devices that connect to the Orbi?
    • The Orbi WiFi name (SSID) appears in the Chromebook list of available WiFi networks?
    • What is the error message when you attempt to connect?

Try forgetting the Orbis SSID named network on the device. Then disable the wifi radio on the devices for 5 seconds, then re-enable the wifi radio. Then select the Orbi SSID name and enter the PW.

Has the device been udpated recently?

Are you using any special characters or spaces in the SSID name or password on the RBR?
