Netgear Orbi will function in Germany.  My first call would be to the Internet Service Company to ask, "Is there anything different about your service than xxxx that I had in the US?"  For example, they might be using PPPoE rather than DHCP.  They may require a user login, etc.

My guess is that probably you will need to set the Orbi up again.  i.e. perform a "Reset to Factory" and then configure it.

It is pretty quick to confirm that the Orbi survived the trip.  Do a Factory Reset.  Plug in just the RBR20 router, not connected to anything.  After the router powers up and "does its thing", you should see the Orbi WiFi name (SSID) that is printed on the product label appear on any WiFi device and be able to connect to the Orbi using that SSID and the password printed on the label.  If this works, my advice is to use some device that has a web browser with a large enough screen to access the Orbi web interface.  (We Old Farts prefer a computer that can be connected with an ethernet cable, but a large screen tablet will work also.)

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too? Built in router here by chance?: If so, This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the Orbi router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the Orbi router gets from the modem. Then you can use the Orbi router in Router mode.
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the Orbi router to the modem, configure AP mode on the Orbi router. https://kb.netgear.com/31218/How-do-I-configure-my-Orbi-router-to-act-as-an-access-point and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7LOcJ8GdDo&app=desktop
