Broken GC110 switch after unplugging and replugging the switch
Hello,
I have a major issue with my network switch not booting up correctly and working normally, the power led of the switch shows an amber color continuously. All network ports are not working as well and the cloud led is not lit also. I have tried fixing the issue by factory resetting the switch but this does not solve the issue, it appears that the reset switches does nothing anymore, the power led still remains amber colored.
The problem has probably started a few days ago, when I unplugged the network switch to move it to another location. Now, I've reattached the network switch and to my surprise it's not functioning anymore. I suspect that the issue has to do with malfunctioning firmware (perhaps it was auto updating when I unplugged it).
Does anyone know what to do?
Thanks in advance.

Anyone who does know about those things probably hangs out in the section where they talk about them.
The GC110 is a switch.
You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:
Discuss Ethernet Switches Plus and Pro Managed
You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.
I will ask the Netgear moderator to move your message.
In the meantime you could visit the support pages:
Support | NETGEAR
Feed in your model number and check the documentation for your hardware. Look at the label on the device for the model number.
Check for various troubleshooting tips.
You may have done this already. I can't tell from your message.
I mention it because Netgear stopped supplying printed manuals and CD versions some years ago and people sometimes miss the downloads.- LapsapperAspirant
Hi!
Woops, unfortunately I've created this topic in the wrong category. As I've mentioned above, I've tried resetting the network switch and I've looked through the troubleshooting page of the GC110 switch. No appliance can communicate to the switch, so I cannot factory reset the switch using the network interface / app. Thus I tried doing it using the reset button but this was not successful as well. So there aren't many alternative troubleshooting steps out there for me that I can try.
