I found in the documentation it says that the switch can be used as a DHCP relay but I couldn't find anywhere if it can be used as a DHCP server. I want to connect it straight to the internet without a router or modem.

@Retired_Member,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
The GS305E does not have a DHCP server function. If you need a switch that has a DHCP Server function, I suggest you any of the M4300 switch models.
To know more about the M4300 switch models and their specifications, kindly check the data sheet here.
