GS716T - firmware upload failure
| |||||||
The upload of the firmware fails at the end. No message as to why. The firmware I'm trying to load to the new switches (just unboxed) is gs7xxt-v6.3.1.36.stk.
Is there a immediate version I need to upload first?
Also - it is my understanding that the menu selections are: Mainteance - Download - HTTP to 'upload' the new firmware. Backwards then what I'm use to with other routers/switches.
Thanks,
Darryl

The firmware version that you are uploading to the switch which is v6.3.1.36 is not for GS716Tv2 switch. The latest firmware available for this switch is v5.4.2.30. You are using a different firmware for this switch that may cause it to brick too.
Here is the correct downloads page for your GS716Tv2.
