Scheduled reboot of Smart Managed Switch

Hi all,

Apart from buying an Netgear Insight subscription, is there a way of rebooting a whole switch on a schedule? In particular at one client, I have a GS752TPv3 which seems to lose ports after a period of uptime, but which come back online after a reboot. It is on the latest firmware.

If the switch seems to be experiencing problems, I would delve into why that's happening. Switches shouldn't need to be rebooted. If it does then something is causing the problem.

Has the switch been factory reset and setup from scratch and tested to see if it fails?

Does it fail with a limited amount of connections to the switch?

I have plenty of devices managed for clients, that benefit from a regular reboot. Just asking the question as to why it appears that this is something that me/my client has to pay for, that most other vendors build in. I would suspect that it's caused by some legacy that will be replaced when it's replaced, as is the way with SMEs.

Something you might as NG support about. Maybe something that wasn't considered for this model switch as it was meant to be online 24/7. If there is a problem then that would need to be investigated.
