Powerline 1000 but very slow speeds

Hi,

 

Just installed the PL1000 and the connection works but I'm only getting about 2 mbps download.
I'm using it wired.

 

If I wired the pc with a direct connection to the router I get about 10 mbps. I know powerlines aren't 
as trustworthy when it comes to download speeds as regular lan connections but only 2 mbps is a tad too low.

Are there any settings I can change or.....?

 

I'm about 5 meters away from the router / other powerline adapter.

    Hi Paul2412,

     

    The connection depends on the electrical design of your house. The 2nd adapter maybe close to the 1st adapter but the travel of the data is a bit longer compared to the distance of the two.
