Hello @Keyman42

Welcome to the Community Smiley Happy

If the new NAS is exactly the same model as the old one, then you can transfer the disks in the same order to get access to the data, provided the HDDs are healthy.

However, if you wish to transfer the disks to a different model, then you should get in touch with Tech Support for the data recovery. See this KB article as an example, should you wish to migrate to the new OS 6.

Before transferring the disks or performing any other operation, we recommend ensuring that you have an updated external data backup.

With ReadyNAS, it is essential to keep an external backup of the data, to ensure their safety.

Kind Regards,

Erika

Re: ReadyNAS Duo RND2000 V2

Hello @Keyman42,

the model RN212 is an OS 6 NAS, so in order to migrate the disks of your RND2000v2, you should contact NETGEAR Tech Support.

Please refer to the KB article "ReadyNAS: Migrating disks from RAIDiator 4.1 or RAIDiator 5.3 to ReadyNAS OS 6".

Kind Regards,

Erika
