Power Supply Replacement
I have a ReadyNAS 1100 Model RNR4450-100NAS that I bought in January 2008. It won't power on so I suspect a bad power supply. I see that Amazon.com has a replacement Seventeam ST-220FUB-05E power...

Normally, in order to switch a PSU on in order to test it, I connect the green with any other black wire (ground) and it works. the PSU Seventeam ST-220FUB-05E PS is a standard ATX PSU but is is also widely modified and used for other systems such as Netgear ReadyNAS Boxes. This often lead to confusion.

Thanks for the info. I've got a NV+ with a dead PSU.
Has anyone had a look at these:
Cheers,

While the supply used in many legacy 4-bay systems is labeled as being a Seventeam ST-220FUB-05E, it has a modified pin-out from the standard supply and, except for the very earliest Infrant NV, no fan, additional ventilation holes, and a mount for the cooling air deflector.
The one you are looking at has a fan based on the other systems listed as compatible, I don't think it has the modified ATX pin-out, either (so they are wrong about the compatibility listing). But it is one of many supplies that can be modified to work. You will have to change the pin-out of the ATX connector, remove the fan, replace the cover with your old one, and you may need a cable extension.
