Setting up DDClient on RN102

I'm new to this NAS business. I've install DDClient on my RN102 with the intention of setting it up to work with my no-ip account, but I can't see how to configure it. I'm must be missing something obvious. Can someone point me in the right direction please.

  • Had to work this out for myself - but here's what to do if you are in the same position as me.

    Switch on SSH on the nas
    Download PuTTY
    Run up PuTTY and connect to the nas
    Login as root (with admin password)
    cd to /etc and edit the text file ddclient.conf
    The file should have the following contents if you are using no-ip.com

    protocol=noip
    use=web, web=checkip.dyndns.com/
    server=dynupdate.no-ip.com
    login=<USERNAME>
    password='<PASSWORD>'
    <USERNAME>.<NO-IP.DOMAIN>

    Hope this is helpful.
