mySQL, PHPMYAdmin and Owncloud

Ok. common problem - no solution.

The problem is that these add-ons have been installed but I get an error loggin into phpMyAdmin - #1045 Cannot login to the MySQL server. Tried all the usual, searched google, forums etc but a real solution for a change (one that can actually be followed, specific to this problem) would be nice.

I only have basic knowledge of linux; can run commands etc; factory reset does not get rid of this problem...From what I have read, there is a config file that needs to be removed.....

On top I did purchase RNxtras Owncloud v9 that should be "only" uploaded; doesn't work either.....

What ReadyNAS do you have and what firmware is it running?

    Be careful on the suggestions you read here- many are for OS 4.x NAS and the advice might not apply to what you have.
    
    I'm not sure the fix is though (I don't use these packages) Have you tried reaching out to WhoCares_ at rnxtras.com? You could also try PMing him here.
