Ok, that's been unfair and I admit it. But the reality is: there is no really good (DLNA) media server out there for the ReadyNAS (and possibly for any other NAS I've seen so far but I haven't seen all of them). The best alternative I've seen so far is the Boxee Box for it's easy to use, plays all the media I have and it's got a very high WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor). But still, the one media server I really love is Plex and what I would love to see is Netgear sponsoring or in any other way supporting Plex to build a DLNA server on top of what the guys over at Plex have already built. I've been through so many "solutions". Twonky, MediaTomb, you name it. None of these had the potential I see in Plex. And that's not because I think their solution is (or in case of DLNA would be) superior to the competition. It's because I believe their mindset is different. Driven may be the word. They want to make something happen, not only cash in on it - or even worse, cash in on just a proposal of "it". That's why I said I'd buy into any solution they might come up with and happily shut down the Boxee Box. And I know that doesn't' solve your problem but I've been - and in some ways still am - walking down the same road, too.
