Readynas ultra 4 not able to access files or backup.
I´m having trouble accessing my files stored on my Readynas ultra 4.
Not able to see logs og save changes when logged on as admin.
Suspecting full os partition have tried accessing unit in debug mode but not profficient enough in code to make any progress... tried tru telnet on a mac.
Also i bought a second hand unit and installed OS 6 and tried to swap disks, no access then either. Unit workes fine with one blank disk installed.
Could anyone guide me tru the process of resolving this issue step by step?
- Netgear tech remote connected and sorted the NAS out.
“OS became full due to minidlna cache”
All good now and family photos dating back to 2004 are safe.

The simplest free approach is to back up your data, and then do a factory reset. Rebuild/reconfigure the NAS and restore the data from the backup.
Another option is to use paid netgear support (via my.netgear.com). Ask for per-incident support. Note you won't be able to do this if you have converted your NAS to run OS 6.

Could it be that these units are obsolete?

They haven't been sold since 2013. However, you should be able to get paid support. Do you see the NAS in your equipment list?
