HI We have a netgear readyNAS 104 (firmware 6.7.4) and it has been working fine until about a week ago. Now everyday between 13:00 and 17:00 its not available or its available for a few secon...

Thanks Stephen.
When I went into that IPV4 I get the following:
Main server
using: dhcp
Adress is 192.168.2.7
router is 192.168.2.254
dns servers
192.168.2.254
195.121.1.34
195.121.1.66
Backupserver
using: dhcp
Adress is 192.168.2.38
router is 192.168.2.254
dns servers
192.168.2.254
195.121.1.34
195.121.1.66
I dont really get what are the second and third value on the dns server but they are the same in the main server and the backupserver. Could this be the problem?

No, they aren't the problem. DNS is the way that names like community.netgear.com get mapped to IP addresses.. Your particular DNS servers are run by KPN, who is likely your ISP. I'm not sure if they are needed in the NAS configuration, but they shouldn't make the NAS unreachable. You might check a windows PC to see if it has the same servers - running CMD and then entering ipconfig /all
Note that this might not be an address conflict (though it is worth exploring). Can you tell us a bit more about your network setup? Is 192.168.2.x the only subnet? About how many devices are on it?

yeah i just checked in windows and it has the same server.
as far as I understand the 192.168.2.x is our only subnet.
We are using mac and windows, and some mobile phones are also connected to the wi-fi.
the setup is like this
The main NAS server is connected to the router(ISP).
the router(ISP) is connected with a multiple ethernet ports switch to which all the computers and the backup NAS server are also connected.

That's helpful to know.
Also, when you are accessing the NAS are you using ReadyCloud? Or just accessing it directly with SMB (and perhaps AFP on the macs)?
You shouldn't be needing ReadyCloud on the local 192.168.2.x net - so I'm not suggesting that you change anything. I'm just trying to gather a bit more information on what's wrong.
Anyway, you should be just about into the failure window now (assuming I am doing my time zone math correctly). So when it fails try the ping tests with and without the NAS connected to the switch. Also, see if the NAS IP address changes when you reconnect it to the switch. RAIDar should be able to find it.

I havent said anything because since last time the server started working fine again.
After we last spoke i remember that before i started this post i had adjusted the hours in the server to the correct timezone (because i had the backup in the right timezone but the server in another one) but i hadnt restarted it. So i did so and then the server have been working fine until today...
Now is back down again...
I tried ping test after disconnecting the server from the switch but then i got nothing. When i connect it again we have a response in the ping tests.
We are connected through the smb, and not readycloud.
I am really clueless of what is the problem.
