Unicode Issue?
I'm trying to copy my iTunes library from an older ReadyNAS NV+ to a brand-spankn-new 2120. This issue is that the 2120 seems to choke on unicode characters (or at least characters with umlauts, etc.)...
Well, I have some more information…
It seems the sensitivity is a function of the type of mount being used to connect to the source NAS (an NV+).
iTunes uses the (NFS) mount…
Finder creates the (AFP) mount…
Only the AFP mount seems to have issues with umlauts. Rsync seems to have issues seeing the file. For example I did a directory listing of the same directory through the 2 mounts, and got the following results.
