mynetgear/forum password changed?
I go to log in to the forums today, then my stored password (chome) is not accepted. So I manually enter my user and password. Again they are not accepted. I have not requested any change...

I meant to say "rejecting all passwords as incorrect" is a common way ot gatheing passwords. That way, you may end up trying all your common passwords.

Right, I was very suspicious of the lockout/password change request in case the netgear accounts had been compromised.
But the URL's appeared to be all normal and secure.
When I did the password reset, I used a registerd device serial# to start the process instead of my email, just in case it was some elaborate scheme, but it seemed to went through fine.
Your words are well received and I am very aware of hacked/fake login screens trying to collect user/passwords.
A further word of caution to others, please make sure you use UNIQUE passwords for every website.
Otherwise, if some website gets hacked (out of your control), you can be sure that your user/pass cannot be used on other accounts.
Believe me I know it is a pain, but it can save your bacon when it comes to bank accounts and others like amazon etc, that if got hacked could quickly lose you a lot of money and time.
