WiFi Adapter A7000 Latency/disconnection spikes

I've recently installed the adapter and it does work well on my new PC. Although when playing games it will temporarily cut out for 20 odd seconds at a time every few minutes. Is there anything I can do to smooth this out or otherwise make it so it doesn't dissconnect me from games so regularly?. I've installed a WLAN blocker so that my adapter doesn't search for other networks although this didn't help. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
