Windows 10 (A6100 A6200 A6210) Installation Heads Up
As a heads up, DO NOT install Netgear's driver package for your A6xxx device on Windows 10. It permanently removes Windows 10’s ability to access the WiFi Connections list. Instead, use the defa...

For problems with the windows 10 included driver with the a6210 (e.g. no 5ghz networks visible) just use the latest driver from mediatek (5.1.21.0).
It is the newer version of the driver that came with windows 10 and with it i can join my 5ghz wlan, which wasnt able with the old one!
The chip in the A6210 is a Mediatek MT7612U.

I cant afford to have dropped packs with the stuff I'm doing. When I spend a fair amount of money on a product I expect it work without a a bunch of workarounds. I did a little research a most of the ASUS units work on Windows 10 and have Windows 10 native drivers out. Looks like ASUS did their job and was prepared unlike NETGEAR. It's not like NETGEAR just found out that Windows 10 just came out. Windows 10 was released a year and a half ago for testing.
I'm going to make a trip to Microcenter this weekend.

Afraid I will too...
Above poster is correct. They had load of time to correct these issues.

If people could follow the steps detailed in post 58 and let us know if that’s successful or not that would be most helpful.

Sorry, here:
- What model of adaptor are you having issues with? A6210
- Is the Win10 install a fresh install or an upgrade? Fresh install
- If an upgrade, from what version of Windows?
- What is the H/W model of the PC/tablet/netbook? Intel chipset on an Asrock P67 Extreme6 motherboard.
- What driver version are you attempting to install? I tried both the 1.0.0.30 driver and the mediatek one (which has a newer date). Get similar results.
- Did you try installing with AV / Firewall disabled? I'm not gonna disable my firewall to fix intermittent packetloss, nor does Windows Defender block driver installs to my knowledge. But to answer the question: No I haven't tried that.
- What error messages do you see? No errors, the drivers install fine.
- If no error messages what failure of functionality do you see? I get occasional packetloss as can be seen in this screenshot: https://mega.nz/#!SsQzBBJB!3yLxziDpxT3TyGJWl3mWm3YwsDB6Kd8pVhUdAjCidRs (I'm pinging Google's DNS server in this case, but its not limited to google servers - my internet stops working while a specific packet is timing out.

I did try the instructions at post 58. The controllers were the best drivers available and I still have the problem.

Steve,
Did you have issues with a clean install with only the mediatek drivers?

I just installed my CPU/motherboard and OS last night (Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H with a intel i5). I'll test this tonight.
