GS108 switches, issues with coil whine & resetting
To be clear, I'm talking about two different GS108 switches. I have maybe 10 of these things deployed in my house, most GS108 with one GS105 and a GS308. They've always been plug-and-forget, and just work for years without issue.
I recently noticed that one of my GS108v4 switches has bad coil whine, and creates a constant annoying scratching sound while it's doing any sort of switching. I've isolated it to not being affected by any particular device (like, I've had just one cable connected to various devices on different ports, and the noise produced is the same), and I also swapped out the power supply to no effect. Has anyone had this before? I'm at the point of chucking the thing because I can't concentrate around that sound.
I also have an issue with an older GS108v2, where the unit constantly crashes/reboots (lights all go out and then come back, data passes for 30-60 seconds, and it crashes again). Typically I see this symptom when a power supply is failing (and yes, I've been through that more times than I care to think about), but again I've swapped out the supply to several much beefier ones and the behavior isn't changing. I'm not sure if it's a circuit board or power port issue.
Has anyone tried to claim warranty on these things? Or is that more hassle than it's worth?

Not a difficult task - head to https://my.netgear.com/ , select the affected model and serial number, and file the warranty claim. Make it clear the one crashing does it with different power supplies, too. Be prepared to provide the original sales receipt, or the credit card statement.
