Access fine from Linux, but denied from Windows and Macs
I have a ReadyNas NV+ v1 and have given the shares full read/write access for both NFS and CIFS.
Access from Linux is completely fine as expected. However, I'm having problems from Windows XP and Mac OS: while the shares are visible and some of the directory structure is navigable, some directories and seemingly all files are blocked with an "access denied" error.
Searching these forums and the internet has only thrown up obvious solutions so far. What have I missed?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserHave you tried "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share..." ?
- sphardy1ApprenticeRoot cause is likely that the UID/GID values of the Linux account accessing the NAS via NFS does not match the UID/GID value of the NAS user accounts.
This is a common issue when using NFS - there are numerous posts on this topic if you search the forum
