Backup Routine renders FrontView and Data on NAS inaccessible.

No Apps running
Services as follows: SMB, AFP, ReadyDLNA, UPnp, HTTP, HTTPS
External USB 3.0 Drive: Fantom GFP3000EU3
The Backup drive was unplugged and reconnected and can now be seen in the Volume Listing. The backup did begin but did not complete. Some of the data was copied.

Hi Annamarie,
Can you extract the backup log file found in the UI? If you will connect your USB hard drive in your PC, is it working properly? You may also want to run disk error checking tool to scan for errors.

Interestingly, I checked the logs and there were none regarding the backup routine(s). I will check again. The drive "appears" to work as expected on a Toshiba laptop as I removed it to reformat in NTFS.

Thanks for the feedback. Did you run the Disk error checking tool before or after formatting the said external USB storage in NTFS format?

No, just ran a "quick format". Anyway, had the end user purchase a new drive (Western Digitial passport USB 2.0/3.0 compatible). It has been connected (in a rear port, rather than the front) and a backup is currently running. I still have access to the data on the RAID volume as well. Will update in the morning when the backup completes. The end user has a large amount of data and backups require a full day to complete. Thank you!
