Backup Routine renders FrontView and Data on NAS inaccessible.
I have recentely purchased a replacement Chassis for a client, installed the HDs from the failed drive (yes, I checked to be sure they were compatible) and am now attempting to configure the 'disaste...

No, just ran a "quick format". Anyway, had the end user purchase a new drive (Western Digitial passport USB 2.0/3.0 compatible). It has been connected (in a rear port, rather than the front) and a backup is currently running. I still have access to the data on the RAID volume as well. Will update in the morning when the backup completes. The end user has a large amount of data and backups require a full day to complete. Thank you!

Hi Annamarie,
I was about to suggest that to further isolate this issue that you've encountered. Anyways, just let us know if the backup is successful.
Kind regards,

On quick inspection (as I have a full time job in addition to a small business), backup "appears" to have completed successfully. Unfortuantely, I did not get an alert email but will check those settings this evening. I am not sure if the Fantom Drive is on its last legs as it was working successfully with the previous device. Maybe just incompatible. At this point, just happy to have a backup! This case can be closed at this time. Thank you for keeping on an eye on this thread! Have a great day. Hi Annamarie,
It's good to hear that the backup was successful. With regard to the email alert, just ensure it's configured and it'll surely let you know if the backup job was done or has some errors. Lastly, this thread can be tagged as closed or resolved if you will click the "Accept as Solution" button in one of the resposes that you received.
Kind regards,
