Expanding iSCSI LUN dont change the size
Hi,
I have a ReadyNAS 2100. Version 4.2.22.
I have 8TB disks and a LUN with 6TB size. So I have 2TB free.
I only use the ReadyNAS for iSCSI so there is nothing else on it.
I go into the administrative website and expand the LUN to 8TB. It says it's done and that I have to restart the initiator. I dont really know what it is refering to but I have restarted the iSCSI connection on my server as well as the iSCSI availability on the NAS. I also restarted both the server and the NAS.
The logs in the NAS says that the expaning have started and that it have ended. No errors
But it still says that it's 6TB and not 8TB!?
I'm going to upgrade it ti 4.2.24 soon, but I don't think that will solve it. People must have expanding iSCSI LUNs on the ReadyNAS 2100 on version 4.2.22 also.
Regards,
Peter

What is "it" referring to here? LUN size in iSCSI tab? If so, try verifying with WinSCP how large the LUN file is on disk.
I just tried this on my Ultra4 with 4.2.24 -- all went well. Steps:
1) Expand LUN
2) Reconnect iSCSI initiator
3) Use Windows Disk Management to expand the partition to the new size
