Goodsync quickly slows to a crawl on my Duo v2

Hi guys, new to the forums :)

I really wanted to use goodsync to sync data to my Netgear ReadyNAS Duo v2. The setup is over the router which is a 10/100 home router. When I use windows for moving and transferring files to the NAS I get the maximum speed over the 10/100 router which is about 11MBps. When I use Goodsync after a restart I get 10MBps for a few seconds and it gets slower and slower the longer the PC is on until its connection speed to the NAS is 8KBps, yet I can still acheive speeds through Windows to the NAS. I have to do a restart to get the speed back, but can't backup in time. This is a real disappointment as I really want to use Goodsync to my NAS but I am stumped!! Wondered if anyone could give me some advice on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks
Dom :)

  • Hi Kanter
maybe its a problem with Goodsync and the nas not working well together, give Allway Sync a try great program and free for personal use i used it to sync all my data to my nas when i first set it up, easy to use and very good explanations for all the settings. http://allwaysync.com/index.html
  • Hi Herbeio,
Think you may be right, just installed a gigabit switch, got 20MB at first now gone slow AGAIN! I will try the software you said, thanks very much :)
