How to mount ReadyNas Admin share?
I have a ReadyNas Pro 6 Business FW 4.2.14
I know it is possible in WINDOWS to map a network drive to the Admin share (and to USB shares) like this:
But how can I mount the share in LINUX?
I want to mount the ReadyNas C volume as well as a USB share on my linux server.
Thanks in advance.
I know it is possible in WINDOWS to map a network drive to the Admin share (and to USB shares) like this:
net use H: \\myreadynas\c /user:admin
Enter the password for 'admin' to connect to 'myreadynas': ********
The command completed successfully.
But how can I mount the share in LINUX?
# mount myreadynas:/c /mnt/rdynas
mount: myreadynas:/c failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

- de_niroGuideTry this command:
mount -t cifs -o username=admin, password=****** //NAS_IP/sharefolder_name /mnt/rdynas - deko220Aspirantthx de niro. that command worked perfectly. If I have to muck around in the admin share I'd rather do it from a Linux box.
- deko220AspirantHow about a similar scenario:
I want to backup iSCSI luns on my ReadyNas Pro to a Linux backup server, and I want to trigger the backup with an event. I want the event to launch a bash script on my Linux backup server. The bash script does something like this:mount -o username=admin, password=mypassword //MyReadyNas/C /mnt/rdynas ; cd .iscsi
and then rsync selected luns to a disk on my Linux backup server, and umount the ReadyNas when done.
Are there any concerns with mounting to (and rsyncing from) the c/.iscsi directory on the ReadyNas? - de_niroGuideWhy don't you backup ISCSI files thru frontview?I think that is most convenient way to backup ISCSI data to your rsync server.
you can see the option in page "backup":
1--select an ISCSI volume as your backup source.
2--config your remote resync server and "test connection"
3--set backup frequence
