NetGear 314
Hi,
We have deleted at least 500-600 Gig of files of the NetGear but it does not seems to reflect the change when I check out the status of how much we have deleted. Is there something other process I have to run to reflect the change? The NAS sync up to Egnyte service.
Thank in advance

Do you have snapshots enabled?

Yes its enabled but as we are running into diskspace issue so that is why we are limiting Snapshot to just two capture entries (only when changes made) until we can have some control of the diskspace. So we have made some major clean up so why does not the ReadyNAS recognize/reflect that?

I am thinking that you still have old snapshots for the shares where you did the deletions. If there are any snapshots for those shares, then deletions only free up space if the original files didn't exist when the snapshot was taken.
Clones act similarly - you need to delete files in both the original and the clone before the space is regained.
Also, sometimes you need to run a balance to get the space back. But that can take quite a while, so take a look at the snapshots first.
