Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion, but it made no difference. first I put in garbage, saved it and then once the save was confirmed re-input the gmail account details. Message failed couldn't contact the smtp port. I then tried another email account, ensuring I used the same port number as in Outlook. Again the same error message.
