No Boot after a hard drive wipe.
I have a readyNas Duo v2 RND2110-100NAS . I had some data i lost by accident. I pulled the ONLY 1 TB hard drive out to use my data recovery software on my pc. Long story short I ended up just formatting the drive thinking it was no big deal and i could just start over with the readynas. Well after multiple attempts . i've failed miserably. in raidar it says no disk detected. my readyNAS power button does a steady pulse while the act, disk1 and 2 and bottom LED all blink slow 2 times then fast 3 times . ive tryed restarting with the drive in it.. ive tryed taking it out , started the NAS , then adding the drive. ive tryed pushing the reset pin while holding the power button to activate a sequence like i was reading.. but i cant get it to do anything... it will just sit here and flash... Does the disk need to b prepared a certain way after it has been formatted in windows?? like raw.. or made a volume. ? Im just not getting it.. please help..

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserTry putting it back in Windows, and deleting the volumes/partitions. Right-click on computer, select manage. Then right-click on each volume on the drive, and delete. That returns the drive to the unformatted state.
- jcolluraAspirantin disk management it said Disk 1 Basic 931.51GB Online . Next to it wwhere the partitions are it says 931.51 GB unallocated.
So i just made it raw. did a hotswap. still same thing so far. - jcolluraAspirant:::UPDATE:::
on a shutdown and restart. power button does a slow pulse. No other lights are on. Raidar doesnt see the NAS - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserDisk 2 is not present?
- jcolluraAspiranti do not have a disk2 atm.
- jcolluraAspirantOK thank you very much..Stephen , im guessing putting into raw format did the trick. i had to unplug it and plug it back in. and raidar saw it and was ready for a new install.. i did boot it holding the reset .. dont know if that made a difference. but both the blue and the act lite were flashing .. so i checked raidar and it was asking me to install... FINALLY!.. thank u.
