PS3 Problem

Hi
I have had a home network. I initially had a duo streaming to the PS3 and it had worked well. A couple of months ago I upgraded to the Ultra 4 and it has 4x 2g western digital drives in it. It's running software version 4.2.19.

The folder and file structure is the same as the Duo. I have four folders under the media share. These are called Home Videos, Movies, Pictures and Television. I transferred the files to their respective folders.

The first time the problem, at the PS3 I couldn't see any movie files in the movie folder. At the PC I could see all the files. I eventually did a factory reset and started again.

After setting things up a second time I can't see the files in the Television folder. I have dlna on and I can use all the other files. I have left the shares and folders at the default state.

Is there a way to resync the folders between the Ultra and PS3.

  • Can also be an issue with permissions try creating a folder using frontview, then moving video files into there. Will tell you if it is a permission issue. On media server I always create fodder via fontview due to the problems it can cause copying from pc/external drive
