Now that the x86 processor vulnerability is front-page news (and affects Intel, AMD and ARM), I wanted to check to see whether Netgear currently has plans to release firmware patches to address it in the near future.

Re: Plans for x86 CPU patches for Meltdown and Spectre?
+1
It is really annoying. My RN524X is new and not cheap. Meltdown patch could decrease performance. However, Spectre is not patchable by kernel. How can we ensure apps in Netgear app store are safe? And all running services...
Hope we get soon an official and very clear statement about this.
