Problem with .mkv files
Hello,
First, i want to apologize for my english (i'm from france).
Just bought a new ReadyNas Ultra 4 in order to replace my old Duo (v1). I've finished back up my data from the old one to the new one with no problem. And start the DLNA service on the new one.
All was ok the first time i played one mkv file on my BR player, and turn off my TV and player. After that, want to watch another mkv file, but my player said "unreconized format". Tried to play the movie i had watched earlier: "unreconized format".
After some investigation, i found that my mkv file are shown to my player as mkv file the first time i access the NAS after a manual stop/start of the service in frontview. After the mkv file are shown as "mpeg" and my player won't play.
Try to update ReadyDLNA to version 1.0.25: same issue.
Any idea to solve this problem?

- flaminioAspirantNot a solution per se, but I've had trouble with MKVs as well -- I just run them through Handbrake and convert them to M4Vs. Never had any trouble playing an M4V.
- MadyoAspirantThanks for your answer. Don't really want to re-encode all my movies (again...).
It was working fine with my old Duo (4.1.6) but not with the ultra with all update... Try to update the Duo and the problem appears on it too.. Problem come from the new version of readyDLNA.
Solve my problem by installing Twonky, work just fine and more options (and got 50% on the licence price :) ).
