ReadyNAS Duo v2 dead?
Hi
I hope you can help, I spent the best part of a day trying to get this b%%%ody thing to even work!
ReadyNAS Duo v2
Made the mistake of not checking the drive compatibility before getting it
1x Western Digital 32mb cache WD1001FALS (1tb)
1x Western Digital 64mb cache WD1002FAEX (1tb)
initially the NAS booted and I got the usual corrupt volume so I tried a factory reset, the problem is now all the NAS does is boots up with the power light on after 10 seconds it turns off and then starts again over and over the raidar software doesnt see, ive also tried disk check, normal mode etc nothing helps!
When a factory reset is done, does it take 10 minutes to before I can see it Raidar?
Can anyone tell me why the NAS keeps turning on with just the power light, you hear the drives spin up and then shuts down and then starts up again looping over and over?
Many thanks in advance guys!

- de_niroGuidelooks like your drives are locked by password due to last volume erasing interrupted, you need to contact support center to find help or plug all drives to computer then unlock them by yourself using hdparm command
here is a example to unlock HDD
check /proc/partition to get HDD letter then issue following 2 commands
hdparm --security-unlock NETGEAR /dev/sda
hdparm --security-disable NETGEAR /dev/sda
