ReadyNAS VN+ RND4000 boot problem
I usualy keep my NAS shut down only turning it on when I need to do backups or access files. Last time I tried to turn it on it froze on 'booting....'. In a probably wrong move i decided the b...
Maybe test the disks with vendor tools? Lifeguard for western digital, Seatools for seagate.
Anyway, made some tests using seatools and htunepro. Seatool passed all tests.
HDtune 'error scan' reported some damadged block errors on disk 2. As they were getting too many I decided to abort the test.
Tested the other 3, they cleared the tests. Then put disk 2 back in and it also passed.
I ended up running the hdtune 'error test' for all 4 disks 2 times, also logged smart statistics after the tests.
I have attached them to this post, if anyone cares to have a look.
Don't really know what to do at this point should try to boot the NAS again?
Should I attempt to the start the NAS with 3 disks, say removing disk 2, or would that be a bad idea?

I decided to put the disks back in and start the system.
It finaly booted and everything is looking nomal, as if nothing happened.
